Semisolid formulations based on solid-in-oil-in-water systems containing proteins

In recent years, improvements have been made, through biotechnological processes, in the production and development of peptides capable increasing collagen elastin synthesis for anti-aging skin care. However, proteins many limitations due to their structural, chemical physical fragility external aggressions, which may cause conformational changes, leading loss biological activity. Therefore, it is important create delivery systems that protect these biomolecules from damage, allowing them reach target. This work aimed develop a system able carry bovine serum albumin (BSA), used as model protein, incorporate this semisolid formulation suitable application. A microemulgel based on solid-in-oil-in-water (S/O/W) microemulsion was prepared. Firstly, association efficiency (AE) lyophilized BSA-sucrose ester complex size S/O nanodispersion were assessed; then, characterization stability evaluation final pH, texture rheological behavior performed.
